Is there any opportunities for students to design their own study abroad programs? Or are exchanges limited to the universities listed?

35:14
When do students usually participate in Study Abroad programs? Or which semester is most recommended in terms of managing summer jobs, bar exam, job searching, etc.? Thank you!

35:17
Is the Lyon program at Lyon 2 or Lyon 3? Lyon 2 is the Berges du Rhone campus

38:00
Students typically will study abroad either in the Fall or Spring of their 2L or the Fall of their 3L year. I think either one of these semesters is perfectly good in terms of managing summer jobs, bar, etc.

39:06
@Alexis I believe it is Lyon 3 but here is the link to our study abroad programs

Here is the links to our clinics for more information: https://gould.usc.edu/academics/experiential/clinics/

When should you apply to certificate programs?

44:20
Do a lot of students end up pursuing career in the area they got experience through clinics?

45:06
You can really apply to certificates at any point before you graduate. You just need to make sure you fulfill all of the class requirements for the certificate: https://gould.usc.edu/academics/certificates/

45:18
Thank you!

45:51
@Jiyoung I think it really depends on the student. I have a lot of friends who are doing a clinic just because they find it very interesting and it is something they are passionate about but it is not necessarily the type of legal work they will be doing when they graduate

46:17
Thank you so much, Lauren! :)

47:17
For example I have one friend who will be doing real estate law after we graduate but she is part of the Immigration Clinic and then I have another friend who is going into Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Law after graduating but is doing the Post-Conviction Justice Project

47:27
I’m wondering what’s something a student should do the summer before entering law school?

47:41
^ likewise!

47:53
Hello! We do so much outreach in our community! Very proud of our work.

01:08:50
I saw that your application instructions recommend a one-page resume. Since I’ve been out of school for years, would it be okay to leave some gaps between experiences?

01:09:16
That just answered my questions!

01:11:00
What if you have a dip in an LSAT score instead of an increase if you take it multiple times?

01:11:18
Any advice on cancelling scores and/or explaining LSAT absences

01:11:31
Can you submit multiple addendas?

01:12:12
If my first lsat score is from 5 years ago (meaning it’s expired), do you still see that/would I still have to write about the difference in the scores?

01:12:47
Can LOR be from TA that knows you well?

01:12:54
Remi and Elizabeth, - there is a section on the application where you can explain test scores and grades.

01:12:57
If someone submits both LSAT and GRE, are any of them given more weight in the admissions process? If the GRE score is higher, does that get considered as the score you consider most?

01:14:15
Rebecca, yes, an LOR can be from a TA if they are supervising your academic work in your class.

01:15:12
For those who graduated college a few years ago, is it preferred to have at least one LOR from an employer? Or are academic LORs still preferred?

01:15:17
Thanks!

01:15:55
Thank you!

01:16:03
Thank you!

01:16:06
Thank you for hosting this event! Appreciate all the info

01:16:20
For those who have 2-3 courses taken in P/NP grading options (assuming all passed), would you advise to submit an addendum?

01:17:02
If I’m in the workforce for quite sometime, is it ok to have the majority of LoR written from my employers/supervisors?

01:18:26
Do you consider our attendance at events such as these in the application review process?

01:19:16
For ED application, does LOR need to be completed before Nov.22nd or can it be before dec.6th as well?

01:20:36
Please note that the USC Gould Financial Aid email address is lawfao@law.usc.edu

01:22:27
Can someone please point us where to find the links to the recordings for events?

01:24:16
If you graduated undergrad a year early, should you send a GPA addenda?

01:25:59
Any pitfalls to avoid? Any tactics that successful applicants have employed in the previous cycles that we should also utilize?

01:27:05
What about the one in New York in november?

01:27:55
Joseph, we will be at the LSAC New York Forum in November. Hope to see you there!

01:28:44
Is there a specific style of writing you’d like to see in the personal statement?

01:30:17
Thank you!

01:30:26
Authenticity in the PS is appreciated. Remember, the PS is an opportunity to share more information about yourself. Always be professional and end on a positive note.

01:31:21
Thank you Brenda. I will keep that in mind.

01:33:12
has someone ever written “I was not mature enough when I entered university“ in their addendum, to explain for low grades in the first year or two of uni?

01:34:08
Avoiding pitfalls: Do not tell us what lawyers do or recite your resume. This is very direct- it is a Personal Statement. Feel free to access the PS video on the Visit Us section of our website.

01:35:12
definitely care about money! can she speak more about the LRAP at USC?

01:36:22
benefits of completing the FAFSA since grad students are eligible for the Pell Grant? does USC offer loans in addition to the federal loans students qualify for?

01:36:41
