If a person went to the workforce post undergrad graduation for a couple of years, does the GPA still matter?
Madeeha Syed
25:04
Question about the addenda - if I received a low SAT score when applying to undergrad but ended up getting a high GPA, would it be a good idea to write an addenda for that, given I have a low LSAT score?
Madeeha Syed
26:01
I meant only if you ended up getting a high GPA
Kamila Knaudt
26:41
In what situations would one need or benefit from including an LSAT Addenda?
Conway Reinders
32:15
To what extent does/can USC consider differences in grade inflation by institution/major/graduation year, etc?
Conway Reinders
32:45
Not necessarily grade inflation, but curves
Alik Christianian
36:39
how does admissions view one cancelled score?
Arrol Fulton
38:29
Do scores from LSATs taken more than 5 years ago get factored into USC Gould's application review process in any way?
Diego Eros
38:34
How heavily does the number of LSAT attempts weigh on the admission decision?
Conway Reinders
42:24
Does it raise a question if your LSAT/GRE score is not so recent (say 2+ years ago)? Worth addressing?
Kyle Larry (he/him)
46:13
If a student has worked a couple of years and their job doesn’t require academic writing, how can they complete the writing sample? Will USC provide a prompt? Does the Diversity statement, personal statement, or “Why USC” qualify?
Nick Bornstein (Student Ambassador)
48:28
Kyle let me know if that answers your questioin
Stephanie Sanchez
48:42
Do the admissions team read the writing sample?
Nick Bornstein (Student Ambassador)
48:56
Yes
Kshithija Mulam

Does applying Early Decision benefit an applicant?
Nick Bornstein (Student Ambassador)
50:12
Applying ED definitely demonstrates preference and interest in particularly USC which can help. Also, if you are accepted ED you automatically get 50% tuition scholarship
Victoria Turner
50:50
Because there is a 50% tuition scholarship with early decision, does that make it more competitive than applying regular?
Stephanie Sanchez
52:24
Question re the Rothman scholarship — do splitters have a chance at receiving this scholarship?
Kyle Larry (he/him)
52:34
To clarify, does a student need to take both the LSAT and GRE if interested in dual degree, specifically JD/MBA?
Ester Soumekh
52:45
This is slightly off-topic, but I did have a question regarding letters of recommendation and how they tend to be weighed in the admissions process. Is there a difference between an academic vs professional letter?
Tara Hochberg
53:43
Should pass/fail classes be addressed in an addendum?
Nam Le
54:18
Does USC favor LSAT or GPA slightly more when the applicant is a splitter? Are non-traditional applicants who have been a few years or more out of undergrad at a disadvantage? Can you apply to dual degree programs during 1L/2L?
Nick Bornstein (Student Ambassador)
54:49
Depends on the semester - P/F was common during COVID. Also, it may depend on how many classes were taken P/F (if significantly higher, then maybe address it)
